Michael was retired from the United States Navy as a Extra Class Amateur Ham Radio Operator. He enjoyed martial arts and earned a Second Degree Black Belt. He was also a certified Tobacconist and was the owner of Cigar Monkey in Merced, Ca.
Michael is survived by his high school sweetheart and beloved wife, Janet Siegel of Merced; his children, Benjamin Siegel of Clovis, Thomas Siegel and David Siegel both of Merced; his brother, Donald Siegel of Modesto and sister, Janis Miller of Fort Mohave, Az. Also surviving Michael are 5 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Barbara Siegel.
There will be a military service held for Michael on August 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at San Joaquin Valley Nation Cemetery in Santa Nella, Ca. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
