Milton Dean Russell was born in Merced, California on November 7, 1957. He attended Merced city schools and graduated from Yosemite High School in 1976. Milton served in the United States Army from 1976-1986. After his release from the US Army, he resided in Germany from 1986-1990 before moving back to Merced.
Milton was a music enthusiast and enjoyed old school groups from the sixties and seventies. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Milton spent the last 25 years taking care of his son Marcelus. To those who knew Milton, he was a very kind person. He always made it a point to make everyone around him laugh. Milton confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior.
Milton passed away on September 11, 2019 after a short battle with lung cancer. Milton was preceded in death by his father Frank Russell, his grandmother Frances Vaughn, and his sister Donna Patterson. He leaves to cherish his memory; his three children Trinda Russell, Marcelus Russell, Darius Russell, his two stepchildren LaTanya James, Demetrius Jackson, two grandchildren Xavier Pierro, Xambria Pierro, his mother Helen Woods, one brother Perry Patterson, seven sisters Norma Storey, Denise Royal, Darla Russell, Frankie Russell, Kimberly Russell, Yvetta Russell, Ruby Russell, his longtime companion Thelma Germany who was by his side until the end, and a host of family and friends that will miss him dearly.
