Nora Irene Wieland

Our beloved Mom and Grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 6, 2023. God blessed her with 97 years of life and her family will greatly miss her. She was born October 10, 1925 to Joseph M. Bierbaum and Alma Ana Kloehn in Minneapolis, Hennepin, MN.

Nora met Edward C. Wieland in Minneapolis and they were married in Las Vegas, Clark County NV in 1952. Mom had four boys; Gregg, Doug, Randy and Brad. With Dad in the Air Force, we moved several times, with Merced eventually being called home. Mom was active with Boy Scouts as a Den Mother for us boys in Cub Scouts, then Scoutmaster's wife when we moved along. Mom was a bookkeeper for Record Rendezvous for a number of years. Mom's hobbies included genealogy and sewing quilting. She made a number of quilting show trips with ladies, including Three Sisters, OR.

Nora is preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Wieland and son, Douglas E. Wieland (Yvonne).

She is survived by three sons, Gregg (Paula), Randy (Vickie) and Brad (Cheri). Also surviving Nora are five grandchildren, Krista, Kyle, Tyler, Paige, and Jamie; 8 great grandchildren, Emily, AJ, Edward, Ophelia, Ariana, Olivia, Madeline, Edward.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella, CA.
