Norma Jean Russell

Norma graduated from Le Grand High School in 1956. She was a very hard worker; raising her children as a single mother, she also worked as a Transcriber for the State of California for 15 years.

She took pride in her role as a devoted mother, there was nothing that meant more to her than her children. Some of her hobbies included knitting and gardening, she loved to relax and spend time in her garden.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Marney and Horace S. Mills and her brothers, Buddy, Kenneth and Horace E. Mills.

She is survived by her son, Kurvin Russell (Dawn); daughter, Shelby Presser; step-son, Richard Russell (Diamond); brothers, Nolan Mills (Diana) and Hal Mills (Marlene); sisters, Ovella Callaway and Georgia Turner; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews all who will miss her dearly.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Plainsburg Cemetery located at 8943 East Gillette Avenue, Le Grand, CA 95333.
