Pearl L. Prince

“Jonni”

May 21, 1927 – August 20, 2010

Pearl went to our Lord with her family members at her bed-side. She was born in Boston, Arkansas to Joseph and Bell Brundage.

She is survived by her husband Carl of 53 years, her daughter, Kathi Jo Netland, sisters, Myrtle West and Virginia McGowen, grandchildren, Ryan, Christy, Stephen, Nikki and Sarah; 12 great grandchildren, Courtney, Amber, Seth, Zachariah, Mathew, Britany, Jean, Halee, Isaiah, Bryanna, Hannah and Sierra.

She was preceded in death by our son Stephen, 3 brothers and a sister.

Pearl (Jonni) came to Merced in the early 40s and worked at the Merced Theater, also as a trophy girl at the Jelopy Races. She worked at Tiny’s Restaurant. After marriage she was a full-time homemaker. She was an avid reader of the Bible.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, CA. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Merced District Cemetery. Following the service light refreshments will be held at the Sierra Meadows, 720 West 15th Street, Merced, California.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home.
