Rafaela Gomez Brigil

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Rafaela G. Brigil, our loving and devoted mother, and friend to all those whose lives she touched, on the morning of December 24th, 2023. She left us while sleeping peacefully, at her residence in Merced, California. She was in her 86th year of life.

Rafaela lived a full life as a wonderful mother, cannery worker, and homemaker. Her joy was cooking, she kept an immaculate house, enjoyed sewing, had a beautiful voice and loved to dance.

In heaven, she joins her husband Rafael, her sister Barbara, and her parents Carlos and Rosa.

Rafaela will be dearly missed and remain in the hearts of her children Margie, David, Albert, Victor, and Anita; her grandchildren Paul, Becky (Matt Davis), Jessica (Coby Bryant), EJ, and Lucas; and her great grandchildren Michael, Nolan, and baby Bryant; her sisters Dolores (John Pfanner), Ramona, Mague and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A service will be held at Stratford Evans 1490 B St Merced, CA on Thursday, January 11, 2024 beginning at 11 AM, with reception immediately to follow.
