Richard Linares passed away at the age of 55 years on May 17, 2011 in Merced, California. Richard was born on June 11, 1956 to Vicente and Raquel Linares.
Richard graduated from Merced High School in 1975, then attended Merced College before graduating from Fresno State University with a B.S. Degree. He worked for a housing company for 15 years in Modesto, before taking time off to devote his time to help others. He will always be remembered for his giving and helping others.
Richard is survived by his father, Vicente Linares of Madera; brother, Vincent Linares of Merced, Art and Gus Linares both of Atwater and sister, Maricela Gonzales of Reno, NV.
A Recitation of The Rosary will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Reception Hall. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Merced. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery on Childs and Hwy 59 in Merced.
