He passed away peacefully of natural causes in the comfort of his home in Le Grand, California, leaving behind a legacy of strength, wisdom, and a love for the cowboy way of life.

Richard's early years in Merced were filled with the simple pleasures of rural life, where he developed a deep connection with the land and the animals he so dearly cherished. His passion for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him, as he spent countless hours riding his beloved horse across the open plains, his figure a familiar sight against the backdrop of California's rolling hills.

A Graveside Service for Richard will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Plainsburg Cemetery, 8943 Gillette Avenue, Merced, California.
