Roberto Abundis Medina

Roberto Medina a long time resident of Merced CA passed away peacefully on December 31, 2014. Roberto was an avid farmer for many years and then ventured away from farming to work for Foster Farms and retired after 15 years of driving tractor and working as a Mechanic for Foster Farms. Roberto did not stay retired for long he soon began driving for Merced Taxi. Roberto attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Merced CA, he was very proud to be a member of Sacred Heart for many years. Roberto enjoyed family gatherings, going to the casinos and being outdoors. Roberto was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Eluteria Hernandez Medina, his parents Luciano and Porfiria Medina, a brother Reymundo Medina, Sisters, Maria Medina and Juanita Manolakis.Roberto leaves behind his loving children, San Juana Molina (Santa Rosa, TX), Bonifacio Medina (Mile City, MT), Rosalba Ochoa (Merced, CA), Luis Medina (Merced, CA), Alberto Medina (Merced, CA), Grasiela Medina ( Merced, CA), Patricia Medina(Merced, CA), and Aricelia Larson ( Merced, CA), brothers Eugenio Medina (Idaho), Pablo Medina (Medina, CA), sisters Francisca Rios (Merced, CA),Luisa O’Leary (Gooding, ID), Guadalupe Bugarin ( Merced, CA), Rosa Elva Medina ( Las Vegas, NV). Roberto also leaves behind his precious 26 Grandchildren and 35 Great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on January 8th 2015 at 2613 East Gerard Avenue Merced, CA 95341, from 4:00-6:00pm with recitation of the Rosary to begin at 6:00pm. A funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 13th and M streets in Merced, CA.
