Truman Blake Goudy

Truman Blake Goudy was born on August 5, 1934 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Reverend Herbert and Virgie Goudy and passed away on November 30, 2017 in Modesto, California at the age of 83. Truman was a loving and devoted Husband, Father and Papa who Loved Music. Truman worked in Sales Management and was a Praise and Worship Leader. He served as a Choir Director at the First Church of the Nazarene in Bakersfield, California, Merced Nazarene Church, First Church of God Atwater, and Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran in Merced, California. Truman spent many years Singing in a Trio called New Beginning and participated in Merced College H .M.S. Pinafore as the Admiral. He was a former Church Board Elder for Gateway Community Church, Merced, California.

Truman is preceded in death by his parents Reverend Herbert and Virgie Goudy and his infant brother Frankie Goudy.

He is survived by his Loving Wife Betty Goudy, his Children Reverend Stephen and Cheryl Goudy, Jeff and Carol Goudy, Randy and Cindy Goudy, Sharon and Tom Dana. His grandchildren Alyssa Goudy, Angela and Michael Upchurch, Jared Goudy, Amanda and Anton Canida, Jeffrey and Tanya Goudy, Joshua Goudy, Jennifer and Tanner Dodson, Stephanie and Steve Morris, and LeAnn Baker. His Great Grandchildren Addyson Canida, Alivia Canida, Jesse Dana, Zoey Goudy, Kylie Upchurch, Zeva Goudy and Aiden Blake Goudy.

There will be a Visitation for Truman on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 4-7:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home located at 1490 B Street, Merced, California. The Funeral will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Gateway Community Church, Merced, California. Interment will follow at Winton Cemetery.
