Willard David Green “Will, a lifelong resident of Merced, CA was born on June 3, 1952 and passed away after fighting a long illness on September 20, 2012 at the age of 60.

Will served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. After working for 30 years as a social worker for Merced County Adult Protective Services he retired.

His passions were spending time with his wife; playing and watching golf; sports; music; family get togethers; and talking with his brothers and close friends.

Growing up and working in Merced he developed many friends and acquaintances that touched his heart.

Willard was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Thomas and Mary Green and nephew, Joshua Dugan.

He leaves behind his wife, partner, and friend of over 33 years, Kathy Green; brother’s, Tom (Jackie) Green of Tahoe and Jim Green of Monterey; brother-in-laws, Tom (Valerie) Dugan and Dan (Cathy) Dugan; nieces, Jessica and Angela; nephews, Anthony and Jordan; a daughter from a previous marriage and 4 grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins from both sides.

Per Willard’s request services will be private.

He will be greatly missed.
