
Willie Mae was a homemaker; she loved her children and family whole heartedly. Spending time with family was her greatest legacy that she left. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and loved attending church.
Willie Mae is preceded in death by her loving husband Aubrey Gentry, parents Rufus and Olivia Pierce, siblings, Edward Pierced, S.D. Pierce, Beatrice Brown, Mary Duncan, Geneva Bettis, and Dolly Teague as well as her two son-in-laws Leonard “Red” Hollon and Dave Smith.
She is survived by her children, Roger Gentry (Sharon) of Atwater, Avonell Hollon of Merced, and Lois Smith of Modesto. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Nancy Newhoff, Cindy Verderber, Kathy Hollon, Becky Hollon, Natalie Aponte, Shane Gentry, Seth Gentry, Cheryl Smith, Debbie Koker, and Keith Smith as well as 20 great grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home located at 1490 B Street Merced, California 95341. Interment will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Cross Roads Cemetery in Shiloh, Arkansas.
