Agnes Dement Davis

Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Dement Davis will be held Thursday at 1 pm in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home. Dr. Danny Lanier will be officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis, 72, of Chunky, passed away Tuesday at her residence. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved and served the Lord faithfully as a minister’s wife.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Charles Davis; daughter Debbie Davis Smith and husband Randy; son Chuck Davis and wife Sandra; grandchildren Dustin Smith and wife Kerri, Danielle Shedd and husband Chad, Tyler Davis and wife Carley and Emily Davis.

Mrs. Davis is also survived by her great grandchildren Aidan Smith, Ava Smith, Azlynn Shedd, Jase Shedd, Maggie Carlyle Townsend; sister Carrie Gaddis and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clermont and Vera Dement and sister Dora Lee Moulds.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Davis honor to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Shreveport, LA or the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation in Avon, CT.
