Dewitt Gibson

Service for Dewitt Gibson will be held Monday at 11: am at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian MS with the Rev. Dr. Gary Blair officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery at Meridian MS.

Mr. Gibson, Age 89, of Meridian MS passed away Friday August 06,2010 at Bedford Care in Marion. He retired as a Generator Operator at Plant Sweat Mississippi Power Company for over 33 and half years .He served four years in the United States Army, European Theater, World War II. Mr. Gibson was a member of Central Baptist Church. The V.F.W., Masons and Shriner of Meridian MS.

Survivors include Wife, Jewell Andees Watkins Gibson, His Son Charles Gibson of Jackson MS, Daughters Carol Stern, Brandon MS and Beverly Zoch Beaumont, TX

Four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Brothers Jack Gibson of Sumrall MS and a sister June Geissler of Hot Springs Village, AK.

He was Preceded in death by his Parents Theodore C and Ollie Prine Gibson. Brothers R. T. Gibson, and Esco Gibson.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Gibson, Langford Knight, Phil MaJure, Mark Gibson

Steve Watkinss and Larry Watkins.

Visitation will be held Monday, from 10:00am to 11:00am at the funeral home.
