Mrs. M. Dean Scott

Services for M. Dean Scott will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home, with Pastor Wayne Edwards officiating. Burial will be at Meridian Memorial Park immediately following.

Receiving of Friends & Family will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service at 12:00 pm.

Mrs. Scott, age 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, December 19th 2013 at her daughters home in Knoxville, TN.

She will always be remembered as a generous and loving woman who was the heart of her family & community. She lived her life as a faithful servant to the Lord. Her home was always open to anyone that needed a warm meal, place to stay, or someone to talk too. Mrs. Scott was also a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church.

Mrs. Scott is survived and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Ann Reeves of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Lexie Williamson of Wilkesboro, NC & Cleo Crawford of Lenoir, NC; grandchildren, Rita Hill of Newton, Patty Howington of Meridian, Deanna McKinion & Jason Reeves of Knoxville, TN; great grandchildren; Tyler McKinion, Justin McKinion, Madison Reeves, Gavon Reeves of Knoxville, TN, LaTeasha Martinez & Nicole Salazar of Meridian, Damon Hill of Newton, Michael Scott, Emily Phillips, Alex Scott, Austin Scott from Meridian, great-great grandchildren; Nasir Williams, Lak Lee Martinez, Ada Martinez, Ana Grace Martinez, & Roman Martinez; to many nieces and nephews to mention.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Martin V Scott; son, Jerry M. Scott; mother Elma Savell; father George Savell; Sister, Lydia Scott, brothers; Alton Savell, Linton Savell, Carl Savell, & John Savell; grandchild, Jerry M Scott Jr.(Marty)

Pallbearers will be Richard Rea, Larry Tucker, Ricky Kilgore, Roy Williamson, Tyler McKinion, & Justin McKinion.
