Marie "Ree" Owen Harrington

Services for Marie ”Ree” Owen Harrington will be held Tuesday, July 8 at First Christian Church at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Tom Sikes and Rev. Lea McCracken officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Magnolia cemetery in Meridian following the service. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Owen, 98, died July 4 at Jeff Andersons Hospital in Meridian. Mrs. Owen was born September 25, 1915. She was preceded in death by her husband David H. Owen, her husband Harold Harrington and her daughter Peggy Randall of Meridian.

Survivors include her sons, Leslie Owen of Meridian and Charles “Buddy” Owen of Madison as well as her grandchildren, Les Owen of Houston, Texas, Dave Owen of Meridian, Austin Owen of Houston, Texas, Justin Owen of Madison, MS, Robin Hall of Meridian, Lisa Kittrell of Meridian and David Randall of Meridian. She also had nine great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Les Owen, Kobi Owen, Dave Owen, Cooper Owen, Austin Owen, Justin Owen and David Randall.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund. Mrs. Owen joined First Christian Church in 1927.
