Mary C. Rawson

Funeral services for Mary Magdalene Rose Cullum Rawson, age 84, of Lauderdale will be conducted Saturday at 2pm in Center Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Harvey Troutman officiating . Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rawson passed away in her home on Tuesday.

After the death of her husband, she moved to the Dalewood Community in 1978 and resided there for the past 37 years where she attended Lauderdale Baptist Church. She was a member of Center Ridge Baptist Church, the American Legion and the VFW. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and a great personal friend to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all. Into your hands we give her to you, Jesus Christ Our Lord.

Survivors include her children, Rosemary (Sonny) Richie and Beverly Williams(James Richard) Stanwood both of Meridian and Elbert Stanley Cullum of Lauderdale, grandchildren, Cindy Carol Richie Blackwell of Quitman, Kenny Wayne Richie and Analynn Mary Williams Linton both of Meridian, Michael Jay Litchfield of Cabot, AR, Patrick (Lisa) Brand of Birmingham and Kimberly Brand (Jason) Carter of Washington. Her great grandchildren are Brittney Renee Richie and Josh Richie of Virginia Beach, VA, Matthew James Richie, Benjamin Jay Litchfield, Matthew James Litchfield, Christopher John Litchfield and Alexander Joe Litchfield of Cabot, AR, Jac and Zac Carter of Washington, Tristan Lynn Linton and Zoey Ann Linton, both of Meridian, Bella Brand of Birmingham and one great great grandson, Kayden of Virginia Beach, VA, brother Buddy (Norma) Rose of Meridian along with two sisters and three brothers from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, James Elbert Cullum and Hilton L. Rawson, son James Lowery Cullum, grandson Michael Ryan Cullum, great granddaughter Kelly Renee Richie, sister Reana Pearl Rose Buckley and her parents Robert and Lorene Fason Rose.

Pallbearers are Patrick Brand, Russell Scarvey, Rick Stanwood, Jason Parr, Daniel Linton and Paul Blackwell. Honorary pallbearer is Jay Litchfield.

Visitation will be Friday 6pm to 8 pm at Stephens Funeral Home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
