Mary Inez Smith

Ms. Smith, 90, of Meridian, passed away Monday at her residence. She was a retired supervisor for BellSouth and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Ms. Smith was a very active member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church who loved the Lord and was a faithful servant, a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority and the American Business Women’s Assn. She never met a stranger and was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met.

Pallbearers will be Clay Duck, Tom Wilson, Doc Braswell, Wade Allen, Ken Covington and Robert Coulter.

Survivors include her cousin Claiborne Traweek of Quitman and a special friend whom she loved as a daughter, Jacque Nelson of Texas.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Ms. Smith’s name to Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
