Funeral services for Thomas Adrian Johnson Sr. age 87 of Chunky will be held Wednesday at 2 pm in

Chunky Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Springs Cemetery

with Stephens Funeral Home handling arrangements. Mr. Johnson passed away at his home Monday

August 16, 2010. He was a retired farmer, veteran of WW2 having received 2 bronze stars, 3 purple

hearts and an oak leaf cluster. He was a member of Chunky Baptist church, Dixie National East Ride,

Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner. He was dearly loved by all his family and friends. Survivors include

His granddaughter Adrian N. Johnson of Hickory, Brother; Grady R. Johnson of Meridian, two special

nieces Leeta Pearson of Chunky and Charlene Thrash of Hickory, many other nieces and nephews

and three special friends Harmon Grantham, Jimmy Swanner and Dan Pearson. He was preceded in

death by his wife Lillie Jewell Johnson, Son Tommy Johnson and granddaughter Brandy Nicole Johnson.

Pallbearers are Dan Pearson, Bo Davidson, Ty Clark, Jimmy Swanner, Cleve Ferguson and Hugh Barrier.

Honorary pallbearers are Harmon Grantham, James Lewis, Robert Houston, James L. Gibbs and James

Earl Davidson. Visitation will be Tuesday 5 to 9 pm at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to

service in the church.
