William Walter "W.W." Stephens

Mr. Stephens, 93, of Collinsville, passed away in his sleep Saturday at Queen City Nursing Center. He was retired Director of Activities and later security at Mississippi State Hospital at Whitfield. He served his country in the U.S. Army in the artillery division during World War II. He never smoked or drank his entire life and will be remembered for his love of people, pets and playing dominoes. He was a long time member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews and many that called him Uncle Walter.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Annie Bell Stephens; sisters Mable Bearden, Susie Byrd, Martha Frazier, Audie Rash and Elsie Stephens.

Honorary pallbearers will be his domino friends.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge UMC, P.O. Box 100, Collinsville, MS 39325.

Visitation will be from 12pm to 2pm the day of the service.
