

Adaline passed away December 15, 2024, at St Francis Reflections Hospice, Titusville, Florida. She was 98. Adaline was born in Somerset, Massachusetts, the youngest of four children, to Harry and Elsie King.
When she was young, she participated in her father’s egg business. After high school, she took business
school classes to prepare her for office work. At the age of 20, she went to Washington D.C., and worked
as a secretary in the office of the Speaker of the House, in the U.S. Capitol Building. Subsequent to this,
she worked in various other government offices, including the Federal Railroad Administration and the
design agency for the first U.S. commercial nuclear reactor at Shippingport, PA. She eventually went to
work for Boston Army Base in the 1950’s, where she met her future husband, Daniel B. Ryan, whom she
married in 1956. In later years, she worked as a bookkeeper for various companies, until her retirement in
1978.
She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel B. Ryan, who passed away in 2010 at the age of 93, after a
long battle with Alzheimer's Disease, during which time she selflessly cared for him, despite the disabling
consequences of a severe stroke, that she suffered from in 2001.
She is survived by her son Edward D. Ryan, his wife Nikki, and her grandchildren.
A visitation for Adaline will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Wylie Baxley
Funeral Home, 1360 N Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL 32953. with Funeral services to follow. A
committal service will occur Friday, January 3, 2025 from 2:45 PM to 3:00 PM at Oaklawn Memorial
Gardens, 2116 Garden St, Titusville, FL 32796.
