Mario grew up in New York City. In his early years he worked for A.C. Nielson as a Draftsman and trained as an aircraft mechanic. He was also a taxi driver in New York City.
In 1957, he moved his young family to Hollywood, Florida. In Hollywood he worked for Sears, Roebuck & Co. until his retirement. He also worked part-time with the City of Hollywood as the Softball coordinator at Dowdy Field on Johnson Street. In 2004 he moved to Cocoa, Florida.
Known as "Mario" to all his friends he loved the game of baseball. As a young adult he played in the Minor league with the then called New York Giants. In Hollywood he was a regular at most ball fields. He could be seen coaching one of the teams his three sons were on, umpiring or just playing the game of softball with his own team. In his retirement years he loved watching his Grandsons play the game of baseball. He also was a Member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mario was most proud of his 6 children, 14 grandchildren, and 3 Great-Grandsons. He loved bragging about their accomplishments to anyone who would listen. We will miss him but cherish the memories.
A Memorial Mass for Mario was held on Thursday October 30, 2014 at 10:30AM, at Church of Our Savior Catholic Church, Cocoa Beach, Florida. Interment followed at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, Florida
