Arthur was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean War; he retired as an accountant with the US General Accounting Office. He loved gardening and especially raising palm trees which he always shared with family and friends. Arthur was a loving husband, father and grandfather he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Ila M Mitchell, daughters Donna Mitchell and friend William Slack and Cristina Renay McDaniel Wilson and her husband Thomas, grandchildren Brianna, Brantley, Kendall and Makena Wilson.
There will be a memorial service held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 18 in the chapel at First Baptist Church of Merritt Island.
