

Daral Dwight Ferguson passed away in his home in Cape Canaveral, Florida on January 2, 2022, at the age of 90. Daral will be dearly missed by his daughter, Jennifer Affannato and her husband George, of Concord MA, his son James Ferguson and wife Susan of Hudson MA, and Norma Peterson and her family, with whom he developed a loving relationship with, in his later years. Daral is also survived by his five grandchildren, David, Emily, Jeremy, Hayden, and Leah and by his daughter-in-law Eleanor Li of Brooklyn, NY. He is pre-deceased by his wife of 51 years Marjorie Ferguson, and his eldest son, Mark Ferguson.
Daral was born in a farmhouse in Gypsum, Kansas. At the age of 18, Daral joined the Air Force. He was stationed in Paris, and played on the baseball team. After serving for 8 years in the service, Daral went on to graduate from Woodbury College in California with a degree in Accounting. Over the years he worked for many companies, including North American Aviation, during the years of the Apollo program, and our countries landing of our first astronauts on the moon. Daral had a strong work ethic, loved sports, and enjoyed politics and debates. He and his family moved numerous times over the course of Daral’s career, including spending 10 years in West Palm Beach, FL where Daral, his wife Margie, and their three children were actively involved in their church, Maranatha Assembly of God. Above all else, Daral was grounded in his strong Christian faith.
Daral’s ashes will be spread in a private ceremony alongside his wife’s in Harvard, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
