She attended the University of Michigan and received her Masters degree from Liberty University.
She was a member of the Anglican Church of North America and was considered a world traveler. Debra retired from the United States Navy as Petty officer first class in Jacksonville.
She is survived by her husband Dan; 2 sons James (Shanna) and Aaron (Sarah); 2 brothers Greg (Barbara) and Dana (Rosann); 1 sister Raeann (Rick); 6 grandchildren Arryanna, Dominique, Haley, Grayson, Conor and Paityn; 2 great grandchildren Isabella and Freya.
Private services will be held with a Life Celebration at a later date.
