

Delano Turner Densmore passed over peacefully at home on August 20, 1916. Delano was born on Valentine's Day 1937 to Ethel and Elijah Densmore of Joppa Alabama. Raised on the family farm he developed a liking for growing your own food and learned how to fix most anything. Raised Baptist he did not have experience with pool halls and the like but while in the Air Force he could run the pool table all night and never lose. See kids, you can use math for fun and profit. Married childhood friend Suzanne Mckee in 1958 and was married till her death in 2010. Delano received a master in mathematics from University of North Alabama.
The young couple searched teaching jobs near new programs: pipeline in Alaska and space center in Florida; resulting in a move to Florida in 1963. Delano started as a high school basketball coach and taught math for 30 years / a large portion at MIHS. In summers he worked the farm in Al raising beef cattle with his father. A handsome, funny and kind man: His passions were gardening, a period of restoring cars, world affairs and politics, hunting, fishing, international travel, shooting skeet and sporting clays. He was a longtime member of the Space Sport Gun Club and made life- long friends through the sport. Delano is survived by his brother Samuel of Wilsonville, Al and daughter Deborah of Sarasota, FL. As per his wishes, there is no service.
