Elizabeth A Auchter

Elizabeth Ann Auchter, née Rourke, of Merritt Island, Florida and formerly of Berkeley Heights, New Jersey passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022 at age 91. Elizabeth is survived by her daughters Karen Van Orden, Loren Zachau and husband Henry Zachau, sons Clifford Auchter and wife Olympia Auchter, Glen Auchter and wife Michele Auchter. She is also the cherished Grandmother of Joseph Auchter, Douglas Auchter and his wife Jenifer Auchter, Courtney Auchter, Victoria De Palma, Sean Auchter and Morgan Auchter, John Van Orden and wife Megan Van Orden, as well Great Grandmother to Emily, Lizzie, Jack and Roddy. Elizabeth was born in Staten Island, NY on February 20,1931. Elizabeth and her late husband, Joseph lived there until 1964 when they moved to Berkeley Heights, NJ. In 1990 they decided to retire to Florida. Elizabeth was very active in the Women Club of Berkeley Heights and Merritt Island where she held the positions of Secretary, Vice President and President. She also enjoyed her family, cruising, crafts and playing card games.
