Her life from start to finish was one of faith, hope and trust. Esther not only proclaimed her faith with her voice, she walked it with how she conducted her life. We rejoice in the fact that she is now forever with the Savior she faithfully served for all of her years.
Born on September 15, 1931, in Sicily, Esther was one of four children. She married her first and only love, Bruce, on December 17, 1954. Together for almost 60 years, Bruce and Esther lived in Merritt Island for their entire married life. They raised four children and were blessed with 9 beautiful grandchildren. Esther is survived by her loving husband Bruce; their four children, Daniel, Bruce Jr., Karen, Elizabeth and their respective spouses, Cindy, Tana, Bryan and Dave; their grandchildren Chelsea, Brittany, Alex, Cole, Davis, Lane, Jared, Logan and Evan; also by her sisters Maria Armano and Luna Struck.
Esther was a Wheaton College graduate and received her Bachelors in Home Economics. She taught elementary school, Sunday school, and was a real estate broker for many years. During the last two years of her life she held a Bible study in her home. First and foremost Esther was a wife, mother, and friend. She was the glue of her immediate and extended family, praying for everyone and ensuring relationships were strong. It has amazed us as a family to hear the people she touched and maintained contact with over the years.
Walking in faith and trusting her Savior, Esther was an example to all that knew her. She never wavered on her journey to the Promised Land. She completely trusted God with her life, marriage, children, and grandchildren. Her Bible is a testimony that she documented with dates and "thanks", showing that God delivered upon His promises. Esther stated often that she was "born saved". Over the last fourteen days of her life, it was clear to all those who knew her, as well as the nurses and doctors who cared for her, that her entire 83 years on this earth was her testimony. She loved her Savior unconditionally and trusted Him explicitly. She was truly a Proverb 31:10-31 woman. Oh, the joy as He welcomed her home! "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
