

Mr. Weber is a veteran of World War II. He served in the United States Navy and most prominently during the Allied invasion of Normandy France, June 6th, 1944 (Omaha Beach) which was well-known as the bloodiest of all the beaches. He earned several medals for his role during the D-Day invasion where many men made the ultimate sacrifice.
George was born May 23, 1925 in Altoona PA to George William and Kathryn Weber. He is survived by his children, George “Butch” Weber Jr., Diane Phillips, Katherine Weber, and John Weber (Sharon); eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eloise Weber, devoted mother and caregiver.
Funeral Services will be held at the Wylie Baxley Funeral Home located at 1360 North Courtenay Pkwy. Merritt Island, FL 32953, Wednesday, September 9th, with calling hours from 1:00PM to 1:30PM and the funeral service to begin at 1:30PM. Interment will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens.
