James "J.R." Randolph Canham

James "J.R" Randolph Canham, aged 63, of Cocoa, Florida, passed away in his home surrounded by his loved ones on August 6, 2024 after a long battle with bladder cancer. JR spent his life dedicated to his wife, family and his work. JR's life was a testament to the power of deep understanding and familial love, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

JR was a devoted husband and is survived by his wife, Margaret "Bee" Canham, with whom he shared 37 wonderful years of marriage. His role as a father to his two daughters, Brandi Walker and Jamie Melanson, was his proudest achievement, along with seven cherished grandchildren, Justin, Jayden, Savannah, Jordyn, Adriyana, Jakob, and Amara. He is also survived by his siblings, Helen Dingess of Cocoa, FL, Richard Canham of Viera, FL, Charles Canham of Picayune, Mississippi, and Donna Duda of LaBelle, Fl. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Helen Canham, his father, Donald Canham, and his brothers, Donald Canham Jr. and Robert Canham. His family finds comfort in believing they are reunited in joy.

Professionally, JR was a dedicated employee at Merritt Island Air and Heating, where he worked from 1988 until his passing in 2024. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his dedication to his family.

JR was a man of many interests, including woodworking, reading, and enjoying nature. JR, was wise beyond his years and was an avid learner. He found joy in teaching to anyone interested in learning. His ability to understand and deeply connect with the world around him was evident in every aspect of his life.

A celebration of JR's life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, located at 1360 N Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, Florida 32953.

Attendees are encouraged to dress casually.
