Our condolences to Marge's family.  She was a friend to so many in our class, and kept in touch for a time after moving to Florida, even including financial help for our projects with her correspondence.  She will be fondly remembered!

Grandmother, your smile is implanted in my heart.

Claudia and Joey are cousins who hold a special place in my heart. Aunt Marjorie was a devoted sister to my father, Paul J. Hinton. She faithfully wrote letters to him and loved him as only a sister could.

There are so many wonderful memories of you by all the lives you have touched. Memories of Orange trees, square dancing, pool parties, villages and most of all a teacher who genuinely cared for us all.  You will be greatly missed.  
To your family, we thank you for sharing her with us. We pray for your peace and comfort in this time of loss.  She was a light in all of our lives.  We will never forget her.

Mrs Putman was my 5th grade teacher at Dugger Elementary.  She was a great teacher.  I remember the class party at her house, where we swam and tried to catch site of the peacocks.  I also remember hoping to be in class when the first snow occurred to be able to see her dance, it did not happen for my class.  I am so glad she was part of my life.  Prayers and thoughts to the family.

Mrs. Putnam was my 5th grade teacher. I have many great memories of that year. he was a great teacher and a good friend to her students. She will be greatly missed!!!!

Mrs. Putnam was my 5th grade teacher.  Some my best memories from Dugger Elememtary are of her.  I had so much fun learning to square dance in her class.  I will never forget creating our Indian Village.  She was also a dear friend of my Nana's, Esther Hannum.  They taught at DES.  May her family take comfort in all the lives she so richly touched.

I am very sorry for your loss. I remember the great stories she told, the orange trees, and my favorite was the rain dances. She was and will always be one of the greatest teachers ever.

Thank you, Mrs. Putnam, for being the loving and caring Christain, person that you were and for loving my brother David as your own. My children, Brock and JoLynn, loved you dearly as thier 5th grade teacher @ Dugger Elmentary. I too came to love you dearly. you will always be loved and remembered by those whom you have taught over the many years of your life. God Bless your family as they say thier final farewells. Aunt Marjorie, you were and still are an aunt I will cherish forever. Condolences and love  to all her family.

Marjorie Putnam was a dear friend to my family, our neighbor, and also my fifth grade teacher at Dugger Elementary. I have the blessing of so many years of wonderful memories of Marjorie and her family. Rest in peace, sweet lady. I miss you and am honored to have known you.

Mrs. Putnam was a special woman to all of us at Dugger. Loved it when she taught us to square dance, remember it like it was yesterday.

 My dad & Uncle had Mrs Putnam in school. She taught at Beechcreek school in KY. I had heard of all the stuff she did with them, I ended up have her as a teacher a Dugger. I knew who I was, talked to high of my grandparents. Knew about my family. I felt so special that year. When each of my grandparents passed, (one right before I graduated) she came to me, explained how my grandpa had worked, lived & raised my family. It hurt to set & listen to her. But she gave me something no other ever did. She gave me my history that did, set & cryed after with me. I love you Mrs P... thank you for that..

Mrs Putnam was my kindergarten teacher at Pleasantville, and fifth grade teacher at Dugger Elementary.  I always enjoyed her stories when she was growing up in Kentucky.  My father also worked at Peabody Coal Co with Chester.   My deepest sympathy.    Angie Enochs Boyd

Your parents were such wonderful people and your home in Indiana a haven of love and peace. There is rejoicing in heaven that Marjorie is finally home and pain free. The pain is now ours, who miss her and love her.

Aunt Marjorie was a very special aunt. Though our times together were never enough, I treasure all the memories we made.  Love to  the family and may God sustain you through this time.

Remembering your family with love and sympathy.  I grew up with this family and love them all.
