Mildred K. Carswell, 91, of Merritt Island, FL passed away Monday, August 22, 2016. Born in Asheville, NC, she received her Bachelor’s degree of Biochemistry from the University of North Carolina in 1948 and worked in the Veterans Administration Hospitals. She married A. Paul Carswell II M.D. in 1956. He later preceded her in death. Together, they moved to Miami in 1958 before settling in Merritt Island in 1963.
A dedicated wife and mother, she enjoyed gardening, and loved her home. She was of the Lutheran faith.
Mildred was preceded in death by her son, A. Paul Carswell III.
She is survived by two children: Diana Cashe', and Steven A. Carswell; and sister, Dorothy Davis.
