

Patricia was born on December 1, 1934, in Syracuse, New York. A lifelong learner and compassionate advocate, she graduated from Le Moyne College and later earned her master’s degree in Social Work from Boston University. With a career spanning over 50 years, Patricia dedicated her life to providing social work services to diverse communities. Her selfless commitment to helping those in need was exemplified through her charitable contributions and acts of kindness.
A devout member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church since 1965, Patricia enriched her community through her participation in the church choir and her volunteer work with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She was also an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the American Association of University Women (AAUW). Even after retiring in 1999, Patricia remained active in her community through her involvement in various groups, including a book club, Great Decisions, and the Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group.
Patricia found joy in gardening, swimming, entertaining, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, strong will, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Frances and James McEntee; her brothers, James McEntee Jr. and Robert McEntee; her sister, Julie Ryan; her beloved husband, Duane Hartung; her son, James Hartung; and her granddaughter, Tara Iacampo Miller.
She is survived by her sister, Frances Peebles; her daughter, Tamara Hartung Iacampo, and her husband, Dean Iacampo; her son, John Hartung; her daughter, Jennifer Hartung Sullivan, and her husband, Gavin Sullivan; and daughter-in-law Karen Hartung. Patricia’s legacy also lives on through her grandchildren, Tricia Iacampo Leonard and her husband, Danny Leonard; Jordan Sullivan; and Joshua Sullivan; and her great-grandsons, Jackson Miller, Calvin Leonard, Nate Leonard, and Arthur Leonard. Many cherished nieces and nephews also survived her.
