Patricia R. Nicholson

Patricia R. Nicholson, 85, passed away on July 19, 2024 in Merritt Island, Florida. She was born On December 16, 1938 in Washington D.C. Patricia was the daughter of Jack and Audrey Richey. Patricia grew up in Washington DC. She married Robert Nicholson on November 26, 1960.

She owned and operated Nicholson School of Dance in Northern Virginia and was also a licensed Alexander Movement Therapist.

Patricia and Robert retired and moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 2007.

She loved spending time with and helping her family, who were everything to her. Patricia also enjoyed dance, Alexander Movement Therapy, reading, and watching Catholic Mass. She loved old movies – a favorite was “Yankee Doodle Dandy”, and sharing stories. Patricia also loved Christmas and the 4th of July.

She is survived by her daughters Angela (Gary) Stafford and Lisa Nicholson; her sons Tommy (Neeta) and Michael Nicholson (Jennifer); grandchildren Jacob, Katie, Kieran, Kyla, Taylor Ann, Shepard, Haven and Nathan; great-grandchildren James, Rylan and Andrew. Patricia is also survived by many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert who passed on September 9, 2020 and her parents.

A private committal service will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband of almost 60 years.
