

Pat grew-up in Georgia, where she graduated from Georgia State College for Women. Pat taught school in Mayo and Macclenny, FL before moving to Cocoa where she was a substitute teacher with Brevard County Schools.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cocoa for almost sixty years, where she served as a deacon and taught Sunday School to children and adults. She was also a leader of Children's Church, Women's Missionary Union, and various church committees.
Pat was an active volunteer in her community. She volunteered at the Central Brevard Sharing Center, collected for various causes, was a poll-worker, did projects for the Salvation Army, and worked with the "Seafarers Ministry" at Port Canaveral.
She enjoyed sitting on her porch in the early morning, reading her bible, listening to the birds singing, and working in her garden. She loved all people and especially loved family gatherings.
Pat was married to John Loyd Register (deceased) for 42 years. She is survived by her children, John Register, Patricia Poff (Mark), David Register, Richard Register (Ana); granddaughter, Diana Zuleta; brother, Rev. Clyde Carter; sister, Joan Carter; and many cousins and other relatives in Georgia and Florida.
Family will receive friends on Friday, November 2, 2012, from 6-8 PM, at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, Merritt Island, FL and on Saturday, November 3, 2012, from 10:30-11 AM, followed by funeral services at 11 AM at First Baptist Church of Cocoa. Burial will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, FL.
