

Philip Francis Brown, the beloved son of George and Ethel Brown of Cocoa, Florida, was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts on March 23, 1948 and passed away on October 15, 2021 in Cocoa, Florida. He attended Holliston High School in Holliston, Mass. Phil was an Honor Student and star athlete on their championship basketball team in 1966.
A true Bostonian, Phil loved and lived in Boston, Mass. He was a college student at Boston State Teachers College and loved “Harvard Square”.
His early adult years were spent in the city where he managed a Thom McCann Shoe Store. Phil had a stellar career in the shoe industry. Later on, he moved to Cocoa, Florida where he retired and was very active in the Flea Market scene. He owned and operated Liberated Leather and restored leather jackets, cowboy boots and shoes. Phil was an active member of AA and became well known for a witty personality and very dapper appearance! His shoe collection was legendary.
Phil leaves behind his “loving brother” George L. Brown, Jr., owner of Junior’s Auto Racing in Cocoa, and his little “sister” Diane L. Piazza of Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Wellington. “We love you so much”…Mom, Dad, George and Diane, Max and Hiedi.
