

Renee A. Campbell, 77, of Rockledge, FL passed away Monday, July 18, 2016. Born July 22, 1938 in Long Island, NY, Renee moved to St. Augustine, Florida with her family when she was 8 years old, and has lived in Brevard for 63 years.
Renee attended University of Florida where she was part of the Phi Mu Sorority before finishing her degree at Southern College of Pharmacy, Mercer University, in Atlanta, GA. She and her husband owned and operated Campbell’s Drug Store Inc. in Rockledge for 31 years before retiring.
Renee was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Cocoa. She was past member of the Central Brevard Debutante Society. Renee was also a Girl Scout Troop leader for several years while also serving on the Citrus Council for the Girls Scouts. Renee loved going to Captiva Island, fishing, and was an avid reader. Above all, her family was most important to her.
Renee was met in Heaven by her parents, Adolphus and Ebba Abromet; daughter, Shelle Campbell-Proctor; brother, Johnny Abromet; and sister, Jean Alexander.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, J. Maurice Campbell of Rockledge, FL and son, Craig and his wife Karlene of Mechanicsburg, PA.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 5-7PM at American Burial and Cremation: 1200 S US Hwy 1, Rockledge, FL 32955. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Cocoa on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 1PM. Interment will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, FL.
