He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Stephany, his brothers
Raymond, Rodney and Robert. He was born in Hillside, New Jersey on December 26,
1940, and had many fond memories of fun on the Jersey Shore. He was a standout Basketball
star in high school and enjoyed watching Basketball (Duke fan) and Baseball (NY Yankees).
Richard received a BS degree in Engineering and worked as an Engineer for Novartis Pharmaceutical Co.
in New Jersey. When he retired at 62, he moved to Viera and loved the Florida lifestyle with
scuba diving, snorkeling, boating, the beach. He loved Bridge, Scrabble, gardening and taking
care of wildlife including Purple Martins, of which he had two large birdhouses (he called them condos) in his backyard overlooking the pool and lake.
Richard was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He was a Christian man and
had a delightful sense of humor and will be forever missed by his significant other, Brooke Truett.
His remains will be interred at the VA National Cemetery at Mims.
