Richard McDaniel, February 22, 1920 - December 27, 2011, married Nancy Jane Gibbons on February 5, 1949.
He served in WW II, was wounded in Manila and awarded the Purple Heart, 3 battle stars, and many other medals. A master fisherman that taught all who wanted to learn. A member of First Baptist Church of Merritt Island for 50 years.
Survived by Nancy, his wife of 62 years; 7 children, 14 grandkids and 15 great-grandkids. Barbara (Clint) Bennett, Paul (Kim) McDaniel, Leon McDaniel, Greg (Susan) McDaniel, Brenda (Don) Patterson, Timothy (Connie) McDaniel, Mark (Linda) McDaniel. Grandkids, Melonie, Nancy, Joy, John, Heather, Holly, Joel, Joshua, Korina, Timothy James, Jacob, Kelly, Matthew, Jason.
Service will be at First Baptist Church Merritt Island, December 31. Family visitation at 2 pm with the service at 3 pm. Graveside service to follow and wake will be at FBMI in the Crossroads building.
