Vera Seibert, 85, passed away August 18, 2011 at Wuesthoff Hospice House. Vera was born in Lancaster, New York and moved to Cocoa in 1968. She was employed by Belks and retired with over 20 years of service. Vera was a regular volunteer for Sunflower House where she knitted and crocheted hundreds of lap robes for area hospitals.
Vera was predeceased by her husband , Elmer Seibert and son, David Seibert. She is survived by her children Diana Fox (Chris) , Patricia Dowdy (Gene), Douglas Seibert (Pamela), her grandson, Thomas Pieczynski (Rebecca), and her great granddaughter, Isabelle.
A prayer service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 27 at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home on Merritt Island. the family will receive friends at 10:30 AM before the prayer service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Vera's memory to the Sunflower House 777 E. Merritt Island Causeway, Merritt Island, FL 32952.
