Agnes W. Hunt

Agnes Hunt, 91, passed away peacefully at her residence in Gilbert, AZ on Thursday, November 6, 2014. She was born in New Orleans, LA to parents Julius and Alma Watson. She is survived by her devoted daughters Nancy Kay Hunt and Judy Milam; son-in-law Michael Milam; sister and brother-in-law Betty and Roy Russell; brother and sister-in-law Emmett and Estelle Watson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years Wayne, her parents, one sister, and one brother.

Mrs. Hunt was an Elder at the First Christian Church and later a member of the Old State Road Christian Church, both in Charleston, IL. After moving to Arizona, she served as an Elder at East Mesa Christian Church. She had been an active member of women’s church groups.

Mrs. Hunt retired from the Illinois Department of Conservation. She enjoyed cooking and had a widespread reputation as a good cook. Her husband, as well as other family members and her friends, benefited from her talent.

Services will be held at 11:00 am at East Mesa Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) located at 706 S. Greenfield Road, Mesa, AZ 85206 on Saturday, November 15.
