Alice Elizabeth Kuenzli

was born on 01/29/1937 in Long Island, New York to parents, Raymond & Lillian Mellett. Alice

was raised in Long Island, New York with her two younger siblings, Kathy and Tom. Alice

graduated from Flower 5th Avenue Hospital's Medical College with a Degree in Nursing. She

enlisted in the Air Force as a Nurse & was ranked a 2nd Lieutenant at the time of her discharge.

Alice met her husband, Robert Kuenzli Sr, in the Air Force and they were married on February

21, 1959 in Arizona. Alice had 4 biological children, 1 non-biological son, 5 grandchildren and 6

great-grandchildren. Alice enjoyed bowling/sewing as a young adult then enjoyed

knitting/crocheting as an older adult. Her favorite sports to watch were football and baseball.

Alice received a Quilt of Valor for her military service on August 1, 2017. Alice passed away at

Friendship Village under the care of Hospice of the Valley. She fought a short battle against lung

cancer. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Lillian, her sister, Katherine

and her husband, Robert Sr. Alice is survived by her adult children, Dawn, Brenda, Robert,

Dale & James, her 5 grandchildren, her 6 great grandchildren, many nieces/nephews & many

loving friends. A service will be held on Sunday, 12/12/2021@ 11:00 a.m. at Mariposa Gardens

Memorial Park and Funeral Care in Mesa, Arizona. Alice will be laid to rest at the National

Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona.
