Anna Lucille Sowers

She was born on December 5, 1945 in Shenandoah, Iowa to Earl and Pauline Jones. Anna was a devoted wife to her husband, Laurence Sowers, sharing 51 years of marriage by his side. Throughout her life, she was a woman of warmth, faith, and kindness, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She found joy in sewing, tending to her garden, and spending time with her family. She especially treasured the moments spent gathered around the table, sharing games, laughter, and stories with those she loved most; memories that will forever live on in the hearts of her family. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found comfort and strength in her conversations with God.

Anna was truly loved by everyone who knew her. She had a special way of touching the lives of all who came in contact with her, offering love, wisdom, and a gentle spirit that will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her loving husband, Laurence Sowers; her two daughters: Mashelle Medina; and Mindy Straight and husband Andrew Straight; and her cherished grandchildren: Abby Weeda and husband Cameron Weeda, McKenna Straight, and Alexa Medina. She was preceded in death by her brother Larry Jones and sister Connie Greenwalt.

A celebration of life will be held on May 16, 2026 from 3-6pm at Andy and Mindy’s house: 18719 E Peartree Lane, Queen Creek, AZ 85142.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
