On January 24, 2017, Arnie passed away suddenly in Apache Junction, Arizona.
Arnie was born at home in Amaranth, Manitoba, Canada on June 4, 1945 to Lucy (Szyjak) & Frank Symesko, both deceased. He is survived by the love of his life of 31 years, Linda Craik, his son, Richard Symesko, brother Reg Symesko (Barb), sister Elaine Symesko and many nieces and nephews.
Always a staunch GM man, Arnie tried to convert many misguided men. Many people enjoyed his company especially at the Pickadilly Square bonfire and the dog park. He loved to entertain people with Crown Royal and O'Doul's in his man cave. He was often seen fixing golf carts and scooters for friends and neighbors.
After the heartbreak of losing his beloved dog, Scotty, he had the opportunity to adopt a beautiful Yorkie-poo, Bogie, who he treasured. They spent many happy hours at the dog park.
Arnie enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and tinkering with anything mechanical. Every fall he enjoyed jumping into his GM and driving to Arizona to spend the winter with his many friends.
Every spring Canada called him home and he spent happy times in Langruth, Winnipeg and their cottage with his family and friends. He had a great relationship with Linda's large family, always ready to lend a helping hand to her sister, brothers, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by the coffee clubs in Langruth and Portage.
Arnie will be missed by everyone who knew him in Canada and Arizona. He passes the torch as the 'friendly repairman' to his buddies in the park .
Their job will be to help the ladies and keep the fire burning at Pickadilly Square. And they are all to raise an O'Doul's in the memory.
