

Beatrice Marie Mahler, 76, of Mesa, AZ, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Beatrice, known to many simply as Bea, was born in Saginaw, Michigan on November 25, 1944, to George and Louise Cherry. She was blessed with six sisters – Bonnie, Sharon, Pat, Arlene, Nancy, Vicky, and one brother – George.
Bea graduated from Saginaw High School in 1962. After graduation, she made her way up north to Harrisville before settling in Oscoda where she raised her three children, Bobby, Kevin, and Shannon. She loved water skiing, being on the lake, gardening, and cooking. She was also an avid bowler for many years. She enjoyed her many years in the banking industry and worked her way from bank teller to branch manager. She married her husband John Mahler in 1989 and together they operated Blue Horizon Court in Oscoda before deciding it was time to retire and enjoy life. For many years, Bea and John traveled between Michigan and Arizona, choosing to forgo Michigan winters for the sunshine of Queen Valley, Arizona. They enjoyed traveling, choosing an RV for many of their adventures so they could bring their beloved dog Tippy with them.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, George and Louise, and her husband John. She is survived by her children, Bobby Beck (Marsha) of Lillian, Alabama, Kevin Beck (Jennefer) of Joplin, Missouri, and Shannon Beck of Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Robert Beck of Lagrange, Georgia, Jordan Lynch of Galveston, Texas, Jeremy Lynch of Perry, Iowa, Briley Beck of Joplin, Missouri, and Brenden Beck of Joplin, Missouri.
