Charlotte Bymers, 83, of Mesa, AZ, died at Beehive Homes, Apache Junction, AZ on December 25, 2014 after a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. The Melcher Mortuary Mission Chapel of Mesa, AZ is in charge of arrangements.
Charlotte May Howen was born in Lakota, ND on July 16, 1931 to Alfred and Mae (Eastop) Howen. She married Fred Bymers on March 18, 1949 in Lakota. They raised four daughters: Denice Stanton (John), Apache Junction, AZ; Muriel Burney (Jeff Emery), Tempe, AZ; Nancy Marquart (Dan), Lakota, ND and Vicki Keen (Mike), Crystal Lake, IL. From 1949 to 1967 they lived in Lakota, Northwood, Mandan and Leeds, ND and Leadville, CO. In 1967 the family moved to Neenah, WI. Charlotte and Fred moved to Mesa, AZ in 1975.
Over the years, Charlotte spent a great deal of time in the out of doors; camping, boating, water-skiing, gardening, hunting and jeep riding. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and reading. She also spent many years volunteering at Sunshine Acres Christian Children’s Home, which she found very rewarding.
Charlotte is survived by her four daughters, 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred, and her brother, Alfred.
