We are sad to announce the passing of Clarence Allen Reynolds, age 72 on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Al passed away surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a kind and generous man who spread love and happiness wherever he went.
Al was born in Flint, MI on December 8, 1949. He enjoyed 42 years of marriage with his soulmate, Michelle. He worked over 15 years at Equity Residential retiring as VP of Capital Projects.
He lived his life by a quote from George Carlin - Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally used up and worn out, shouting “… man, what a ride!”
Al had an amazing ability to retain and recite all sorts of information. He obtained too many certificates to mention and was known as a master of many talents by those that knew him. He shared his talents with anyone in need and participated in several mission projects which involved the re-building of homes after natural disasters, building new homes for families in 3rd world countries and teaching gardening skills to African villagers. Al had numerous hobbies that he explored including fishing, hunting, sailing, golfing, wood-working and reading. He was a world-wide traveler who had the opportunity to visit 40 countries in 6 continents and all 50 states.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Allen Reynolds Jr. and Donna Bell Cornell Reynolds and his son, Robert Allen Reynolds. He is survived by his wife Michelle Reynolds; children: Richard (Jennifer) Reynolds, Ashley Reynolds and Logan Reynolds, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; siblings: Sharon (Dennis) Ahler, Shirley (Patrick) Couture and Barbara Potter and several nieces and nephews.
An Interment will be held October 8, 2022 for immediate family at Gilbert United Methodist Church.
