

His family moved to Marshalltown, Iowa during the Great Depression, where he met and married Genevieve Ferkin, the love of his life.
Clyde served as a US Army sergeant in England, France and Germany during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was attached to the Army unit that liberated Dachau concentration camp in Germany. Upon his return to the states, he started work with Iowa Electric Light and Power Company. He held various management positions, including Commercial Division Manager for 22 years in Perry, Iowa, retiring as Western Iowa District Manager in Spirit Lake, Iowa, having spent 37 years with the company.
One of his and Gen’s true loves was traveling to the Colorado Rockies each summer with their four children. Accordingly, immediately after retirement, they built their dream home near a mountain stream in Idaho Springs, Colorado, designed by their son Rick, where they lived for 10 years. Escaping the cold winters, they have resided in the Mesa/Gilbert, Arizona area since 1993.
His wonderful love will be sorely missed by wife, Gen; son Rick (Nilsa) Clark of San Diego, CA; daughter Sara (Tom) Dreyer of Gilbert, AZ; daughter Karen (Jim) Mortenson of Columbia, MO & Scottsdale, AZ, and daughter Cindi Dolecki of Monte Vista, CO. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings plus one grandchild Tiffany Robb.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 between 6-8PM at Mariposa Gardens in Mesa, Arizona. Light refreshments to be served. Memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Mariposa Gardens at 3PM Saturday, February 26, 2011 followed by entombment.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Without Walls Christian Center in Chandler, Arizona to be applied to the Tiffany C. Robb Music Scholarship Fund.
