Oh, how the angels danced in Heaven on February 12th when Jesus called Concetta Azzolina home and she left her earthly body behind and traded it in for her heavenly garment! Her suffering was over and the heavens rejoiced. We who loved her mourn our loss for this beautiful woman who loved and cared for so many so well. She was quiet and gentle in spirit, a wonderful homemaker, an excellent cook and baker, a beautiful knitter and crocheter and a seamstress extraordinaire. Above all these, Concetta was a believer in Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior who taught her to be a kind and patient person and a beautiful peacemaker. Concetta is survived by her devoted and loving husband Rosario, her God-loving sons John and Frank, her siblings: the late Charlie (Carmela), Santa (the late Santo), Jim (Santa), the late Calogela (Salvadore), the late Tony (Calogela), Maria (the late Tony), Anthony (Fina), Pina (Diego), Gemma (Joe), and Salvadore (Elizabeth). She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. All who knew her on earth will miss her tremendously, but our precious memories of her will linger forever. Viewing for visitors at Mariposa Gardens, 6747 E. Broadway Road, Mesa, AZ (south-west corner of Power and Broadway Roads) from 5:00 – 6:30pm on Thursday, Feb. 18th followed by the Service at 6:30 pm.
