

Darin Paul Waaramaa, of Mesa, AZ passed away June 25 at the age of 43. He was born at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Los Angeles, California on July 18, 1972 to Laurie and Paula [Hiltunen] Waaramaa. Darin was a loving, husband, father, son, brother and friend to all who knew him. He graduated with his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona then went on to the University of Phoenix where he earned his Master’s degree. Darin worked with Boeing as a program manager in International participation for 20 years. He was a member of the Light of Christ Church for 12 years and was very active in church programs. He enjoyed going to the lake, boating, golfing, listening to country music; he was a great cook, his specialty being smoked brisket and pulled pork. Darin took special interest and was very involved in the activities of his two daughters, Grace and Emma, with their 4-H club and gymnastics. Darin is survived by his beloved wife of 17 ½ years, Stephanie [Payne] Waaramaa; they were married on November 20, 1998. He is also survived by his daughters Grace (15) and Emma (12); parents, Laurie and Paula Waaramaa; his brother Todd Waaramaa and his wife Stephanie; his sister-in-law Caroline Valenzuela and her husband Michael; nieces Meagan and Catherine and nephew Cole; as well as many, many friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Light of Christ Church, 6289 S. Greenfield Rd., Gilbert, AZ 85298
